Hang up and air your sleeping bag
It is very important to ventilate the sleeping bag well in turn. Regardless of whether the sleeping bag feels wet or not, the filling can be damp due to condensation or sweat. When you return home from a trip, it is important that you take the bag out of the compression cover, and dry and air it in a dry and cool place. Open up the zipper, turn the sleeping bag over and hang it over a drying rack or similar. Remember that the cover must also be dried, as it can be damp on the inside. It is better than the sleeping bag hangs a little too long, than a little too short. If you pack a wet sleeping bag together, mold can quickly form in the bag.
If you are on a long trip, we recommend that you air the bag every day. Hang it up in a tree while eating breakfast, or over some ski poles (the blunt end !!) if you are skiing. Then you make sure that it gets better to crawl into when the evening comes.
After the sleeping bag is aired and completely dry, it can be packed in the storage cover that came with when you bought the sleeping bag. Down bags must not be stored in the compression cover, it destroys the down to be compressed for a long time.
